Bulldogs In Loving Memory Our Friend, Bob Schor |
| Our friend, Bob Schor, just lost his battle (8/1) with pancreatic cancer. He will probably go down in history as the longest survivor of the illness. Bob was a New York City Policeman who had transferred to the court system as a lead Bailiff and was then needed at the morgue during 9/11. While there, he became ill and had to take disability leave. Turns out that the toxins in the Ground Zero area and anything having to do with it were especially high and there was a very high incidence of pancreatic cancer amongst those working there. May just be a coincidence, but it's very strange. Bob's pancreas was removed in April of 2002 and he was diagnosed 9 months prior. He wanted to beat the disease and he did for a very long time, but luck ran out. We have been very blessed to have made Bob and Michelle Schor's acquaintance through Herb Ginsberg - all of Long Island. Bob and Michelle have one of our "kids" - Suzie and Bob was responsible for introducing us to Heather Wetherbee of Wetherbee's Bulldogs on the Island too. She had one of our "kids" for a while and we are also blessed with her friendship. Bob leaves behind his lovely wife, Michelle and their children, Jason and Danielle (Youma, Suzie, Deogie and Merlin the nasty little Min Pin!). | |
We will miss Bob and his great spirit. Here are some pictures of "our gang". |
